Today we say goodbye to Series 17 and Namibia.

The Ongava Private Reserve hosts several lodges, all catering to different types of travelers. The owners originally bought four underproducing farms, and have used the property to protect and research endangered animals, specifically the rhinos. “Ongava” means rhino in the Herero language.

Next to our lodge, Little Ongava, is Etosha National Park. It is a jewel in Namibia and well worth a visit. Just hire a guide.

Our time at Onduli Ridge has come to a close. It is a most unusual place.

Humans have been writing on flat surfaces for a long, long time.

The elephants are actually no where near Onduli Ridge.

As we flew to Windhoek and then Onduli Ridge, we flew over some impressive desert scenes.
