Cleared for Departure

Series 18 – Jet Lagged and Home

Our time together has come to a close.  We arrived home Sunday morning.  Profoundly jet lagged, we stumbled through our Sunday chores in an attempt to get ready for the week. Re-entry is always a little rocky.

We left Hawaii with a longer to-do list than before we arrived.  RBD liked Kauai and wanted to visit the other islands. I suspect we’ll go back.  I shouldn’t be surprised.  She’s an explorer at heart.  We are different in that way; I’m content to sit on a balcony and watch the surf all day, tweaking photos or prose.  She plots the next mountain to climb, and prefers not to sit still for long. There is much to explore in Hawaii.

Thank you for all for coming along.  I appreciate your time and notes back to me.  Always great to hear from you all.

We did a chocolate farm tour at Lydgate Farms. Their chocolate was amazing, but they make most of their money from tours.

Otherwise, updates on PA school will continue. Summer semester ends mid-July.  I graduate November 16, 2026 and expect everyone to be there.  (I kid, it’ll be in Brooklyn. It’s a God awful place.)  This August we will visit Iceland (again), touring exclusively the north coast.  Last trip we did the south coast.  The landscape and weather promise to be more dynamic and moodier.

I look forward to our paths crossing again.  Until then, be well.
