As we flew from Sossusvlei to Windhoek, and then Onduli Ridge, we flew over some impressive desert scenes. Below are my favorites.
A Few Thoughts.
From these images, you can get an understanding of the remoteness of this place.
Also, it is rare to find such beauty and such brutality, depending on your perspective, coexisting.
Also, I love how it is difficult to determine the size of these features. The landscape, with a human frame of reference, behaves like a fractal. Are these images from high off the ground or ground-level? It is difficult to tell sometimes.













This is an environment to be respected.
