Our Final Game Drive

A baby monkey ponders life’s big questions. Like, how much of Lance’s lunch to steal.
The slang for warthog is “puma,” thanks to Disney. His tail is down, which means he does not feel threatened.
A woman in our vehicle could not stand to look at this dead, female elephant. It was not clear what killed her. However sad this may be, hundreds, if not thousands, of animals will feast for 5 to 7 days gaining critical nutrients that will pass to the next generation of delta animals. It may seem savage, but this process shows an incredibly efficient recycler at work. Nothing is ever wasted.
This is a male Tsessbe, a common African antelope.
Zebra. Most run away well before we get this close. Understandably, they are skittish creatures.
Hippos only have one thing they wish to convey with their eyes: I see you and I will kill you violently if given the chance.
A lioness stalks Impala, but did not make a kill. They blend in really well to the environment.
I do not fully understand the fascination with giraffe.
Giraffes do, however, make good props in the foreground of African sunsets.
